Rep Liz Cheney on Ginni Thomas Subpoena
The conservative activist married to a Supreme Court justice is refusing to testify about the Trump campaign’s efforts to decertify electors. This has caused many to question her loyalty to the president. Cheney indicated that the select committee is prepared to subpoena her, but the conservative activist is not willing to testify. She has been protecting herself for eight years with Secret Service agents.
Liz Cheney: “It’s the single most important thing I’ve ever done professionally”
Since the Jan. 6 election, Cheney has found herself surrounded by a strange political spotlight. She is now the target of more handshakes and selfies than ever before. But, she maintains that she is motivated by a sense of duty and not a political agenda. She believes that her stance on President Trump’s failures is the right thing to do, despite the current political climate.
But Cheney’s anti-Trump stance is unpopular and she has been forced to swerve from traditional retail campaigning. Last year, the Wyoming Republican Party censured Cheney and stopped recognizing her as a Republican. Wyoming GOP offices now offer free yard signs to other Republicans. And Cheney has turned to Democrats, offering a form for voters to change their party affiliation.
In Wyoming, she’s also facing a primary election. The state is a key battleground. While Trump would be the overwhelming favorite, a notable group of Republicans wants to get past him. And in the Republican primary, she’ll face Harriet Hageman, a Trump-endorsed candidate. Cheney received a higher percentage of Wyoming’s vote than any other state.
In fact, her stance is so controversial that she’s been forced to resign her position as Vice Chair. But, she still manages to remain professional. She says that the job has become “the single most important thing I’ve done professionally” after all. In the end, the president and Vice Chair both have a lot to prove. But the ultimate judge will be the voters.
She’s protected by Secret Service agents for eight years
As the vice president’s daughter, Cheney has long been concerned about the Secret Service and its protection of the vice president. As a child, Cheney was protected by Secret Service agents, including her father. She has vowed to look into the matter. “I have a family and I will take care of them,” she said.
The House select committee investigating the January 6 riot is “prepared” to issue a subpoena to Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. The committee, which is bipartisan, has already spoken with other figures who have urged the Trump administration to sabotage the 2020 election.
The House Intelligence Committee has scheduled several interviews with former Trump officials and members of the campaign. The committee’s focus on the Secret Service has been intensified after Secret Service agents deleted hundreds of messages, including the President’s personal emails. The Secret Service has said it will respond to Hutchinson’s account. Moreover, lawmakers want to hear from Steve Bannon, who was found guilty of criminal contempt of Congress.
The House select committee also sought testimony from a conservative activist named Mary Thomas. They have email correspondences and texts with Mary Thomas. Thomas’s emails and texts indicate that she urged Mark Meadows to fight for a reversal of the 2020 election. Despite her position in Congress, the scandal has turned her into a national figure. She is now a vice-chair of a House panel and a face of the Capitol insurrection hearings.
She’s a right-wing activist
Rep. Liz Cheney is the latest right-wing activist under fire over a subpoena issued to Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Associate Justice Clarence Thomas. Thomas has refused to answer questions about a plot to rig the 2020 presidential election. She was summoned to appear before a House panel on Jan. 6 to explain her involvement in efforts to sabotage the election.
The House Intelligence Committee has a subpoena out for Ginni Thomas’ testimony about the alleged conspiracy between President Trump’s campaign and a Democratic voter registration list. Thomas had correspondence with a right-wing attorney named John Eastman, who was involved in the effort to get the former Vice President to refuse to certify the election results. Thomas had reportedly attended a rally before the Capitol attack, where she encouraged Republican Mark Meadows to work toward a recount of all the electors who have been identified as Democratic voters.
The right-wing group, known as Tea Party Patriots, claims that Liz Cheney lied in her letter to the House Oversight Committee. It wants to know whether she is lying or misrepresenting the facts. Cheney’s response should be telling. It is clear that Cheney wants to protect her political career, but her words may not be enough to convince the committee.
Whether Liz Cheney is a right-wing political activist or a right-wing activist remains to be seen. However, the evidence uncovered is compelling enough for the committee to issue a subpoena to Thomas. The Republican party has pushed hard for a code of ethics for the Supreme Court. The House Select Committee has stressed its work until the summer months.
She’s wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas
The new lady of the court is not just another celebrity; she is also an American jurist, and she’s married to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Clarence was nominated to the court by President H. W. Bush in 1991 to replace Thurgood Marshall. The couple has three children, and they live in Los Angeles. Her husband has always had a passion for the law, and his wife has a deep understanding of the legal system.
Ginni Thomas began her career in political work as the legislative director for a former mayor of Omaha, and then went on to work for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Clarence and Ginni met at an affirmative action conference in New York City in 1986. They married in 1987. According to Ricky Silberman, Clarence and Ginni are intellectual soulmates. She’s “battered for conservative principles” in Washington for more than three decades.
She’s been active in conservative political circles, including as an activist for the Republican Party. However, she did not take part in a “Stop the Steal” rally in Washington, DC. The rally promoted the lie of former President Trump that he’ll win the 2020 election – a claim that has led to a deadly insurrection. The public information office of the Supreme Court did not respond to a request for comment.
Ginni Thomas’s involvement in political activism has caused a rift in the community of former clerks to Clarence Thomas. The conservative activist has since apologized and apologetic for her actions, but the scandal has lasted for months. The Washington Free Beacon published an article detailing Ginni Thomas’s involvement in the Jan. 6 rally and election integrity. Clarence Thomas’s wife has now publicly acknowledged her participation in both events, though her actions have prompted many to wonder if she was a potential conflict of interest.
Ginni Thomas has been active in conservative political circles, even before her husband’s nomination. Her husband was the most conservative justice on the Supreme Court, and his close relationship to Ginni Thomas has made it impossible for him to recuse himself from cases that deal with the presidential election. Because of the close relationship between Ginni and Clarence Thomas, she has been vocal about the election and other controversial topics.
